Responsibilities

Install electrical equipment such as small rack mounted UPS equipment, various size batteries, UPS/Battery monitoring equipment
Maintain Battery Cabinets and racks, Maintenance Bypass’, Battery Monitoring Equipment, DC Systems and other electrical equipment
Periodic and lifecycle-driven performance of remedial services, including failure analysis and troubleshooting, component replacements and repairs, and battery string replacements and installations
Customer relationship building – provide excellent customer service; upsell products
Field troubleshooting calls from customers to satisfactory resolution
Quickly respond to critical situations
Teach and mentor crew members on proper techniques for site work, troubleshooting, repair and analyzing site data
Isolate basic hardware, software, and interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs

Required

Minimum of three (3) years serving in a third-party critical power field service or technical support role with a demonstrated progression in technical proficiency and capability -OR- Minimum of five (5) years serving in an OEM service environment in the critical power space
Good understanding of AC/DC electrical principles
Knowledge of test equipment operation, such as multi-meters, and battery test equipment
Read and interpret electronics schematics with the ability to troubleshoot failures/faults to the component level
Understand and have experience enforcing compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations and standards
Outstanding work ethic, punctual, trustworthy, and reliable – you will set the pace as a senior UPS/ Critical Power Engineer
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions within fast paced changing priorities
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if driving a Company Vehicle) and pass a pre-employment drug screen
Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds for short durations
Ability to kneel or crouch periodically
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to travel for multiple days with Per Diem as projects require
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining 100% safety awareness

Preferred

Prior military training in electronics or avionics (A School, AIT, etc.) preferred
