Risk Manager (Cost, Schedule and Technical)
Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. The Risk Manager will be responsible for the overall risk management program at AEDC, focusing on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across aerospace test and evaluation projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Risk Management Framework: Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with AEDC's strategic objectives and complies with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force regulations
Integrated Risk Assessment: Lead the identification, analysis, and evaluation of risks across all project phases, including cost overruns, schedule delays, and technical performance shortfalls
Risk Mitigation and Control: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures to minimize the impact of identified risks. This includes creating contingency plans and assigning risk ownership to appropriate team members
Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis: Utilize both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the probability and impact of risks, including techniques like Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and risk modeling
Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular risk reports and briefings to senior leadership, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and informed decision-making
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, financial analysts, and other key personnel to integrate risk management into all aspects of project planning and execution
Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and review the effectiveness of the risk management program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or a related field), business, or a related technical field is required
A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive and relevant experience in project management, systems engineering, or risk management within the aerospace, defense, or a related high-technology industry
Demonstrated expertise in risk management principles, methodologies, and tools
Strong understanding of cost, schedule, and technical risk analysis
Proficiency in project management software and risk analysis tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
The ability to travel up to 5%
Preferred
A master's degree or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
