Sr. Project Manager/STR
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a qualified candidate for a Sr. Project Manager/STR opportunity at the Urenco USA National Enrichment Facility in Eunice, NM. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of assigned projects, ensuring that objectives are met within scope, time, and cost constraints while maintaining high-quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation to closure
Manage project risks, resources, and budgets
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes in alignment with strategic business goals
Ensure the timely delivery of all project milestones and deliverables
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership
Attend subcontractor safety briefings and planning meetings
Review and request approvals on subcontractor safety plans, schedules, and other contract required plans and deliverables
Review and route for approval all subcontractor submittals
Coordinate requests and needs between departments
Assist in preparing project schedule and performing weekly project schedule updates
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop a detailed project plan, including work breakdown structure (WBS), timelines, resource allocation, and budgets
Establish clear project roles and responsibilities for team members
Direct project teams in the execution of tasks according to the project plan
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization and task completion
Oversee the procurement and allocation of project resources, materials, and services
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize project disruptions
Regularly update the risk register and report critical risks to leadership
Act as the primary point of contact for the client and other key stakeholders
Conduct regular status meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs through a formal change management process
Interface with client procurement staff and field oversight personnel
Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
Track project milestones, deliverables, and resource utilization
Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure proper project governance
Implement corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track
Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, detailing project metrics, performance, and issues
Present project updates to senior management and stakeholders
Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and ensure alignment with business objectives
Complete all closeout activities, including final deliverables, project documentation, and lessons learned
Ensure proper handover of project results and documentation to operations or the client
Facilitate post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for future improvement
Supervise subcontractors during the performance of work related to industrial construction and services
Work with subcontractors to ensure that construction is done safely, accurately, and per national codes
Inspect fieldwork to evaluate progress, efficiency of operation, cost control, and ensure the safe completion of project work scope
Track construction activities and report back to project management
Monitor Subcontractor work activities and performance relative to budget, schedules, and work completion deadlines
Qualification
Required
10 to 20+ years of related work experience in Project Management
Experience supervising subcontractors during the performance of work related to industrial construction and services (specifically concrete work)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE U.S. Security Clearance. (Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance)
Knowledgeable in the generation and application of project management principles, concepts and techniques including managing multiple critical path schedules, Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index
Knowledgeable of vendor contract requirements and capable of confirming contract performance
Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate established priorities across multiple groups
Ability to direct and establish working conditions suitable to meeting critical deadlines, yet remain flexible in responding to changing requirements
Must have the ability to understand and interpret project schedules, cost and budget data, and engineering/construction drawings
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable and experienced in MS Office systems and scheduling systems/tools such as Primavera, MS Projects and SAP
Knowledge of basic engineering, industrial safety, and construction principals
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred
PMP Certification preferred
Commercial Nuclear or Department of Energy project management experience is a plus
Familiarity with relevant regulations and permitting requirements such as NQA-1, State of New Mexico Construction Industries Division and NRC Licensing requirements is a plus
Knowledge of Corrective Action Program requirements is a plus
