Responsibilities
This role will focus on creating enterprise-wide underwriting guidelines for property, marine, and crime, and establishing foundational governance
Other projects to assist with will include enterprise level CAT underwriting manual, capacity management, suspensions and some governance
Qualification
Required
7+ years as a commercial property underwriter leader with experience creating new products, processes and underwriting guidelines
Ability to operate at a higher, strategic level while also executing on detailed guideline drafting
Deep knowledge of the commercial property line of business including marine, crime and CAT
Ability to influence and shape guidelines for diverse product offerings (admitted, non-admitted, small, middle, large market)
Ability to understand and challenge existing strategies
Experience with both admitted and non-admitted property
Background in small, middle and large market property
Ability to understand the bigger picture and how an organization handles enterprise-wide initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to leadership
