Senior Administrator

Collin County Government is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Senior Administrator. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Land Records department and managing a team of 18 staff, along with developing office policies and ensuring compliance with legislation impacting the department.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily operations of the Land Records department
Administration and management of 18 staff
Development and implementation of office policies and procedures
Creating goals and objectives for department personnel
Managing personnel processes and functions including staff recruitment and disciplinary actions
Monitoring productivity and performance
Assisting in writing Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information and Requests for Quotes
Implementation of an electronic Records Management System
Troubleshooting issues and testing and applying upgrades and patches
Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with database vendor, County Clerk staff, other county departments and the general public
Researching and following legislation that impacts the Land Records department
Maintaining fee schedule and managing eRecording
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Assisting in the compilation of department annual budget and monitoring department expenditures
Reviewing and approving staff training
Traveling to conferences for continuing education

Required

Ability to pass a criminal background check is required
Position requires strong leadership and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2010 or higher with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point
Strong knowledge in the operation of various software programs and web design is highly preferred
The candidate who fills this position must have ability to read and understand legal documents, local and state codes, and legislation regarding real property
A level of knowledge normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree OR through 4 years supervisory experience, with a minimum of 5 years overall work experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience is required
Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Preferred

Strong knowledge in the operation of various software programs and web design is highly preferred
