Operations & HR Manager (Surveying / Engineering Environment)

Responsibilities

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and training of new employees
Develop videos for onboarding and training
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR standards and regulations, including OSHA
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to enhance workplace efficiency and culture
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees
Prepare and issue client invoices according to specific client requirements and rates
Maintain records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Develop and maintain inventory management systems to track supplies and equipment
Collaborate with management to establish and enforce operational policies and procedures
Anticipate operational needs and propose solutions to improve efficiency
Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding invoicing and payment inquiries
Maintain strong relationships with clients by ensuring their invoicing needs are met accurately and promptly
Provide guidance and mentoring to staff; foster a collaborative work environment
Identify opportunities for departmental growth and expansion, preparing for future scalability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, payroll, invoicing, and operations management, preferably in the geospatial, land surveying or construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Smartsheet; familiarity with HR software is a plus
Strong understanding of HR standards and regulations, including OSHA compliance
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and drive initiatives
