Responsibilities
Contribute to creating and implementing media strategies and plans to strengthen Amer Sports’ reputation while adhering to regulatory requirements for a publicly-listed companies’ communications
Earned media relations in North America:
Build and maintain strong relationships with media and relevant stakeholders
Manage media inquiries and draft responses
Develop and pitch compelling story ideas to media
Create and manage media kits, press releases, holding statements, and talking points
Support interviews, media training, and social media presence for senior leaders
Participate in media and issues monitoring, crisis communication, and issues management
Produce content for Amer Sports’ owned media channels
Collaborate with our communications agencies and other partners
Follow the operating and political environment in North America to anticipate and manage reputational risks
Qualification
Required
Experience working for a US-listed company is required
7+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations
A degree in communications or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's)
Proven track record in earned media relations in North America
Familiarity with crisis communication and issues management
Knowledge of social media and digital communications tools
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Strong strategic thinking combined with proactive approach and hands-on execution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills – you are a strong team player who thrives in a global environment. Confidence to work with senior leaders
Ability to travel as needed
