Responsibilities
Taking responsibility for the success of the 45nm Silicon Photonics technology product ramp from development to mature technology
Complete ownership of a technology module, accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, delegation of tasks to extended module team, lead for definition of improvement experiments and hardware disposition
Collaborating with device, process module, & packaging team in driving I/O solutions in research and development
Sustaining and improving manufacturing technologies by ensuring product quality, reducing defectivity, improving process stability (Cp/Cpk), and increasing processing efficiency
Detecting line issues through data analysis and driving appropriate containment and resolution in a timely manner in order to limit the impact to yield and delivery
Driving cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvement, and efficiency improvements
Ensuring product route synchronization with baseline technology
Customer engagement through reporting of issues, status and milestones
Contribute to Intellectual Property by writing innovative invention disclosures
Contribute to publications and conferences with scientific results
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Qualification
Required
Requires a technical (University) degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline plus the below relevant experience:
BS and a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
MS and a minimum of 2+ years of experience
PhD and a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience
Relevant experience includes Integration experience, Lithography, Semiconductor Manufacturing
Experience in Si photonics integration research and development
Knowledge of semiconductor processing and process integration, test chips and test structures for yield limiter determination, improvement and reliability
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, as well as internal and external partners
Preferred
Experience with or exposure to (through University Degree) Silicon Photonics
Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Lab or pre-professional experience in semiconductor processing
Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners in research and development
