ACCEL Schools is a network of high-performing public charter schools serving PK-12 students. The Part-Time Lunch Aide will monitor and assist students during lunch and recess, ensuring a safe and orderly environment while promoting good manners and cleanliness.

Primary/Secondary Education

Responsibilities

Monitoring and assisting students at lunch and recess

Assisting younger children in getting lunch trays, milk and condiments

Monitoring student behavior and providing appropriate discipline as necessary within guidelines of school rules

Assisting students in cleaning up after themselves (spills, wiping tables, disposing of trash, etc)

Helping to wash tables, pick up floor trash and ready condiments between lunch sessions and after lunch period

Monitoring students for safety and appropriate behavior on the playground

Helping maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas

Understanding, accepting, abiding by, and implementing the school’s philosophy and mission statement in all school activities

Working cooperatively with lunch and recess employees

Acting in accordance with directives from the Administrator (or designee)

Contributing to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards

Other duties as assigned
