NPI Process Engineer

Responsibilities

Plans and formulates NPI engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility
Implements and reviews shell build, castings, Heat Treat, and NDT processes for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
Supports activities concerned with technical development, customer issues, cost reduction programs and in resolving engineering design and test problems
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases
Prepares interim and completion project report, as necessary
Provide technical support for manufacturing area of assignment
Interfaces with production personnel regarding all processing requirements. Interact with suppliers and customers on technical issues
Performs process quality investigations, as required
Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions
Translate customer requirements into usable work instructions and interface with customer on technical issues
Review purchase orders, specifications and blueprints for impact
Assembles data packages for customer approval
Specifies processing and generates work instructions
Actively pursues elimination of waste, the improvement of equipment reliability and efficiency, and the reduction of operating costs. Employs statistical methods as necessary
Continuously improves the performance of job-related responsibilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution in the following disciplines preferred: Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial
Experience working in a Casting environment
Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment or lab environment
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
Knowledge of MS Office
Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills
Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving
