Develop and apply advanced causal and statistical models, such as: Treatment effect and uplift models, Difference-in-differences and synthetic controls, Propensity score and matching methods, Instrumental variables and observational causal techniques
Translate complex causal findings into executive-ready insights, clearly communicating assumptions, limitations, uncertainty, and business implications

Connect leading indicators to lagging outcomes, demonstrating how specific product and operational levers causally impact revenue, conversion, retention, and customer experience
Influence roadmap and investment decisions by identifying high-ROI opportunities and quantifying trade-offs through experimentation and modeling
Set technical standards and best practices for experimentation and causal analysis, mentoring senior data scientists and raising the overall analytical maturity of the organization

Required
Deep expertise in causal inference and experimentation, with a strong track record of applying these methods to real-world business decisions
Advanced modeling and statistical skills, including causal modeling, experimental design, and large-scale observational analysis
Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R, with experience working on complex, high-volume data systems
Strategic and systems thinking, with the ability to connect business objectives, product strategy, and analytical methods end-to-end
Executive influence without authority, able to shape decisions through rigor, clarity, and credibility rather than formal management responsibility
