Responsibilities
Drive delivery outcomes across a domain portfolio by enabling high-flow, low-risk delivery systems across value stream-aligned teams
Maintain a high-level view of in-flight and upcoming work, surfacing risks, dependencies, and systemic blockers that impact portfolio flow
Ensure systems are in place for coordinated, effective delivery across multiple teams
Champion flow-based delivery practices (e.g., managing WIP, tracking aging work, improving predictability) across the portfolio
Applies expertise in software management systems to support efficiencies and effectiveness of Product Team deliveries
Support teams with lower delivery maturity by guiding effective review cadences, blockers management, and continuous improvement practices
Provide leadership at the portfolio level by enabling cross-team systems, delivery flow, and strategic coordination—not by leading individual teams
DLs may support multi-team coordination for major rollouts but do not own engineering deployments or release management responsibilities
Identify, surface, and coordinate delivery risks across the portfolio, ensuring early escalation and mitigation planning with the appropriate owners (e.g., PMs, POs, or AOs)
Understand inter-team and cross-portfolio dependencies and play an active role in coordinating with peers and program-level stakeholders
Collaborate with Product leadership and Delivery Team to define and track key delivery performance indicators (e.g., throughput, cycle time, total work item age, variability, stability, and WIP trends)
Ensure visibility of delivery health to stakeholders through regular reporting, portfolio-level flow reviews, and risk summaries
Partner with the domain Product Portfolio Manager to align delivery with strategy and ensure execution supports customer and business goals
Act as the primary delivery contact for enterprise-wide initiatives involving the domain, working alongside enterprise-level Project Managers
Delivery Leads focus on internal and cross-functional delivery stakeholders. Vendor management remains the responsibility of Application Owners, Project Managers, or Procurement teams
Facilitate delivery retrospectives and improvement efforts at the cross-team or domain level
Contribute to the evolution of delivery practices across the organization by identifying and championing opportunities for systemic improvement
Align with core Product standards as defined by ABC product management, while being encouraged to explore new ideas and approaches within those boundaries to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Proposed deviations or enhancements should be shared with the ABC Product Management Leadership for review and potential adoption
Model ethical leadership, integrity, and a commitment to delivering real customer and business outcomes—not just outputs
Qualification
Required
5+ years in delivery roles with a strong track record of enabling complex, multi-team delivery in Agile, Lean, or flow-based environments
Experience operating across teams, managing systemic risks, and aligning delivery with strategic outcomes
Deep understanding of flow metrics and delivery system design, with experience improving predictability and reducing delivery risk
Ability to influence and collaborate with Product Portfolio Managers, business stakeholders, and technical leads at scale
Skilled in navigating complexity, managing ambiguity, and adapting systems of work to emerging needs
Proven ability to translate delivery health into insight for leaders and teams, creating clarity and alignment
High proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and delivery dashboards. Capable of building and maintaining visualizations that support transparency and action
Align with company values by demonstrating a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer experiences while embracing a collaborative, team-focused, ownership-driven mindset
Preferred
Exposure to team-of-teams delivery models, domain portfolios, or enterprise programs
Certifications such as APK, AMP, or flow-related specializations are a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, technical risk, and SDLC processes to support effective engagement with engineers
