Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP-CFO)
Boise State University School of Nursing is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP-CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership for the University’s fiscal operations. This role involves collaboration with campus leaders and external stakeholders while overseeing a comprehensive portfolio and a team of professionals.

Responsibilities
Providing strategic financial leadership for all aspects of the University’s fiscal operations
Partnering closely with the University’s Administrative Council to gain insights and develop alignment with leaders across campus
Collaborating with external stakeholders through the Idaho State Board of Education, the Idaho Division of Financial Management, and the Legislative Finance Committee
Leading a comprehensive portfolio that includes University Financial Services, the Office of Budget and Planning, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), and the Next Frontier program
Overseeing a team of 85+ professionals across the division
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, public administration, or a related field is required
At least five years of recent experience in public higher education or a related field
Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Proven organizational, analytical, financial, and communication abilities
Forward-thinking, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred
A master's degree
10 years of experience in fiscal management
At least five years in an executive role, such as CFO, vice president, or associate vice president
