Responsibilities

Processes required documents into the Fleet Management system. Processing tasks may include entering data into the computer, generating work orders, reports and forms
Processes annual registration renewals for all applicable Town units
Performs general clerical duties, to include assisting incoming customers in person or via the main Fleet Services telephone line, filing work orders and/or other Fleet-related documents; scanning documents into the Fleet Management system and assist customers with general questions requiring knowledge of policies and procedures
Produces weekly preventative maintenance (PM) reports
Orders, receives and picks up parts (as necessary), utilized for the maintenance of Town fleet vehicles and/or equipment
Transports fleet vehicles to and from customer/vendor locations on an as needed basis
Operates various types of office equipment to include computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, binding machine, etc
Provides clerical relief support duties to include typing, filing, sorting, and retrieving records; cash handling; bookkeeping; operating computer equipment; data entry; photocopying; collating materials; performing mathematical calculations with proficiency; and other tasks as assigned
Adheres to departmental, personnel, and safety policies and procedures
Assists co-workers and other departments as needed
Informs supervisor of all work activities
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required
Must have a valid Texas driver's license and driving record must be in compliance with Town policy
One or more years of general office work experience and/or equal formal training in required tasks, is required
Must have a general knowledge of modern office practices and procedures to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have excellent English communicative skills, both oral and written, to include spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
Must be skilled in the operation of personal computer operations
Must have good data entry skills with speed and accuracy
Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written directives; work well under pressure and stress; handle multiple tasks; prioritize and organize work assignments
Must work effectively and efficiently with customers and maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor at all times
