Supervisor - Bridges Program

MultiCare Health System is a state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center focused on providing comprehensive health services for children and adolescents. The Bridges Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing grief support services, overseeing programming, and providing clinical supervision to staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating grief and loss support services for children, teens, and families
Ensure programming reflects evidence-based practices and is responsive to developmental, cultural, and family needs
Monitor program outcomes, track service delivery data, and prepare reports for funders, partners, and leadership
Collaborate with hospitals, schools, community organizations, and faith-based partners to strengthen referral pathways and community connections
Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to staff, interns, and volunteers delivering grief and loss support
Offer guidance on complex cases, ethical concerns, and trauma-informed approaches
Support staff in maintaining professional boundaries and practicing self-care in emotionally demanding work
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities
Develop and facilitate training for staff, volunteers, schools, and community partners on topics related to grief, loss, trauma, and resilience in children and families
Stay current with best practices in pediatric grief and bereavement and integrate into program design and staff development
Oversee intake and assessment processes to ensure families receive appropriate support and referrals
Serve as a resource for families navigating complex grief situations (e.g., sudden loss, suicide, homicide, medical trauma)
Ensure services are accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive
Manage program budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and relevant state/federal regulations
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of practice

Required

Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
3–5 years of post-master's clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families impacted by grief, trauma, or loss
