Lead HVAC Controls Technician
The Bexar Company is a rapidly growing building automation and HVAC services organization launching a new branch in Houston. They are seeking a Lead HVAC Controls Technician to oversee BAS controls service, manage projects, and interface with customers while establishing best practices in a new market.
Responsibilities
Lead BAS controls service, troubleshooting, repair, and programming
Diagnose and resolve low-voltage control systems, integration points, and automation programming issues
Perform preventative maintenance and service with a controls-first approach
Read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans
Interface directly with customers, representing the company with professionalism
Support branch standards for service quality, best practices for controls, and project execution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of commercial controls and BAS service experience
Hands-on programming experience with Building Automation Systems
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with low-voltage systems
Ability to manage work from start to finish independently
Confident, professional, and customer-focused communication style
Experience reading control schematics and wiring diagrams
EPA Certification (required)
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Programming experience is required—candidates must have hands-on experience configuring, debugging, and maintaining BAS programs
