Responsibilities

Analyze and study complex system requirements to determine optimal solutions
Design software tools and subsystems that support software reuse and domain analyses
Implement software solutions in alignment with organizational and project objectives
Manage the software development lifecycle using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques
Utilize Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to streamline development processes
Review, refine, and optimize existing programs to improve efficiency and reduce operating time
Estimate software development costs and create detailed project schedules
Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets
Supervise software configuration management activities to maintain version control and documentation integrity
Ensure that changes and updates are tracked and implemented seamlessly

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in software development, system analysis, and application support
Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing software tools and subsystems
Proficiency in formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and techniques
Familiarity with software configuration management processes and tools
Applicants must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance

Preferred

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging software technologies
ITIL certification v4 preferred
