Valley Bank is offering a unique 9-week internship program for motivated students interested in the banking industry. Interns will assist the Private Bank Associate team on various projects, gaining practical experience while contributing to compliance and efficiency improvements within the Wealth Management group.

Responsibilities

Assists Private Bank Associate team on projects and initiatives

Coordinates and takes a lead role in data focused projects to ensure team hits compliance targets and information in core systems are accurate

Partners with key internal stakeholders to update procedures for the Wealth Management group on an ongoing basis

Identify areas of inefficiency as it relates to processes and procedures and suggests solutions to leadership

Recognizes data trends and regularly communicates to management to assist them in strategic decisions

Works as a team member on domestic private banking internal projects and coordinates through completion

Act as a back up to the Associate position where needed

Support your manager in performing research and/or analysis on specific topics

Independently complete tasks that contribute to larger projects relevant to the assigned department

Participate in meetings and team discussions to gain insight and contribute to the team's goals or projects

Communicate with team members and other departments to coordinate work, gather information and develop final work products

Join team building activities to establish cross functional relationships within the Valley community

Participate in VIP Mentorship Program meetings with your mentor to enhance your business acumen, network with senior leaders and develop technical and professional skills

Document and report on progress and results of projects and tasks

Attend professional development sessions/classes

Participate in VIP (Valley Intern Program) hosted events, trainings and projects including Valley Week of Service, Culture Workshops and final project presentations

Complete other related duties as assigned by the respective manager
