Academic Surgical Pathologist (NTT)

The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an academically oriented, AP board-certified Academic Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty training in GI Pathology. The successful candidate will participate in diagnostic sign out, contribute to medical education, and develop research projects within the Department and the larger UHMC system.

Responsibilities

Assist in GI sign out and participate in general surgical pathology sign out
Participate in the general surgical pathology frozen section services as well as tumor boards
Contribute to medical student and resident education, and develop research projects reflective of their interest

Required

Applicants must have an MD, or MD/PhD, or DO degree
Be Board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology
Eligibility for unrestricted licensure for the practice of medicine in Missouri

Preferred

Candidates will be evaluated on: possess strong surgical pathology diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience in GI/Liver pathology
In addition to participating in diagnostic sign out of subspecialty areas, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the general surgical pathology frozen section services
Contribute to medical student and resident education
Develop research projects reflective of his/her interests
