Telecom Specialist
Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking an experienced Telecom Specialist to manage and support telecommunications and network systems, with a specialization in Cisco hardware and services. The role involves hardware repair, WAN/LAN infrastructure management, and network performance monitoring to maintain a reliable and efficient network environment.

Responsibilities
Network Engineering and Support
Support the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of WANs and LANs
Assist in designing and managing WAN infrastructure and related processes
Perform day-to-day operations and provide second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for network issues
Support the dispatch and coordination of circuit and hardware vendors for problem resolution
Escalate and communicate network status updates to management and internal customers
Hardware Engineering and Repairs
Perform Dell hardware repairs and support related systems and devices
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair network hardware to ensure smooth operations
Infrastructure and Cabling
Provide support for cabling and infrastructure setup, maintenance, and optimization
Ensure adherence to infrastructure standards and best practices
Network Performance Monitoring
Monitor and optimize network performance using tools such as SolarWinds
Ensure efficient and secure operation of network systems and related devices
Documentation and Technical Support
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, and processes
Provide technical consultation to internal teams and assist with training when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field
Four years of relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Hands-on experience with WAN and LAN infrastructure design and management
Proven track record in Dell hardware repairs and support
Proficient in Cisco hardware and services
Strong understanding of communication protocols, network architectures, and software systems
Experience with network performance monitoring tools like SolarWinds
Knowledge of cabling and infrastructure support best practices
Applicants must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance
Preferred
CCNA, CCNP Preferred
ITIL certification v4 preferred
