Open Rank Non-Tenure Track Faculty - Civil, Materials, Environmental Engineering
The University of Illinois Chicago is a prominent urban public research university, and they are seeking a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Civil, Materials, and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will teach various engineering courses, mentor students, and contribute to program assessment and service to the university and the profession.

Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including engineering surveying, civil engineering drawing and design, capstone-level engineering design, and other service courses
Mentor senior design projects
Advise student organizations
Hold office hours and provide academic advising
Participate in course and program assessment
Contribute service to the university and the profession
Qualification
Required
PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field by the start date
Professional Engineer (PE) registration—or demonstrated progress toward licensure—by the time applying for promotion is required
Prior teaching experience in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering curriculum is required
Preferred
A minimum of five years of professional experience is preferred
Candidates with proven excellence teaching experience as the 'instructor of record' in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program are strongly preferred
