As a Performance Application Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing automation solutions and leading Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure system performance meets high standards.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end process improvement and cycle time optimization for robotic cells

Define and drive the strategy for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

Define test blueprints for Intelligent Factory (IF) Cell and Line Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) tests

Actively perform and oversee HITL tests to validate system performance prior to deployment

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical background in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

Foundational understanding of industrial automation with a strong desire to learn, and contribute to their application in manufacturing environments

Programming proficiency with C++ and/or Python

Experience with data visualization tools or performance monitoring dashboards to communicate process health to stakeholders

Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external technical partners during deployment and support

Preferred

Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

Familiarity with simulation-to-reality (Sim2Real) gap analysis to predict performance before hardware is live

Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems
