Spectrum Generations is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accounts Receivable (A/R) Billing Specialist to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and adherence to financial standards.

Responsibilities

Manage all weekly billing and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate claim submission, AR posting, denial follow‑up, cash recording, and reconciliation

Prepare monthly AR aging and reconciliation reports in collaboration with the Controller

Create and reconcile General Ledger entries, including depreciation schedules

Support month‑end close by preparing and entering journal entries in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics

Maintain subsidiary schedules (maintenance, payroll, funding sources, donations, taxes, etc.)

Provide monthly billing and AR analysis to the CFO and Program Directors

Prepare, reconcile, and remit Sales & Use and Service Provider Taxes

Ensure compliance with all funding‑source requirements, including reporting and cash‑receipts processing

Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and transaction explanations

Required

Experience in lieu of degree considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business with major in accounting; experience in certified course work in accounting concepts with 3+ years Accountant experience preferred

Experience with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics software is preferred
