Responsibilities

Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Work with outside data sources and APIs

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Required

Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C programming languages

Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc

Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines

Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools

Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Processing, etc

2+ years of iOS development experience

Ten (10)+ years of performing software engineering activities

Published one or more iOS apps in the App Store

Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

Preferred

Using GIS products such as Esri ArcGIS software suite, Google Maps, and open-source GIS tools

Automating GIS workflows, ArcGIS and QGIS

Providing technical support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues

Using testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Mocha, Selenium)

Using source control tools GitHub

Using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible)

Participating in Scrum or other agile methodologies

Leveraging the latest advancements in AI/ML and data engineering
