Responsibilities

Lead and/or participate in an analog/digital team to help define the signals between analog and digital interfaces
Design and hands-on testing of microwave components, circuit boards and systems plus providing technical support to production activities
Be a part of a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the project lifecycle
Mentor interns and early-in-career engineering staff
Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required

Required

Typically requires a degree or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in one of these fields with a minimum of 3 years experience with RF/microwave circuit design
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance)

Preferred

Requires advanced engineering knowledge typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
Experience with RF/microwave and antennas including experience typically acquired through attainment of a university degree or possession of an amateur radio license
Previous work experience in the RF/microwave discipline
Familiarity with industry standard RF/microwave circuit design software and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout
Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics' Xpedition and analytical tools such as MATLAB
Designing and testing analog CCAs (Circuit Card Assemblies), including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design and analog filter design
Experience in electrical interconnects and transmission line design
Understanding of EMI analysis and mitigation techniques
Propensity for learning through self-study and being comfortable in a multi-tasking environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in a production environment
Hands-on experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
