Post Doctoral Scholar - Research Associate
The University of Southern California is seeking a Post Doc Scholar Research Associate to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The role involves conducting complex research projects, including murine studies and in vitro experiments, while also preparing presentations and scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.

Plan, design, and conducts highly technical and complex research projects independently
Preparing presentations and publishing scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator
Serve as a project liaison between the lab, their collaborators and the NIH
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate
>1 year post-doc experience
Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods
Strong background in one or more of the following areas: cell/molecular/developmental biology, mouse genetics, human induced pluripotent stem cells, and related biomedical science fields
Enthusiasm
Excellent critical thinking skills
Track record of productivity as demonstrated by at least one first-author peer-reviewed publication
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in written and oral English communication
Preferred
Highly motivated Ph.D. with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: cell/molecular/developmental biology, mouse genetics, human induced pluripotent stem cells, and related biomedical science fields
