Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment
Perform regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate security-related protocols
Monitor for and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns observed during patrols
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity within the retail premises
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or customers, providing assistance as needed while upholding site-specific security-related standards
Carry and responsibly handle a company-issued firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations
Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and/or daily activities as directed by site management
Qualification
Required
An armed guard card or license is required
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred
