Project Engineer - Senior Project Engineer Work Location: Los Angeles, CA
PMCS Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer with experience in managing, designing, and constructing building, marine, and port projects. The role involves providing technical skills, conducting field checks, preparing project status reports, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project compliance and progress.

Responsibilities
Provides technical skills and coordination support
Conducts field checks and site walks to verify compliance with construction documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assists in preparing written materials, including correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines
Develop monthly project status reports for all assigned active construction projects
Assist in the review of construction payment applications, change orders, and construction field orders
Reviews project risks and coordinates with the construction manager to develop project status reports
Facilitate resolutions related to design and field issues
Assist with review of the accurate responses to requests for information (RFI) and submittals
Assists in the preparation of project meeting agendas, facilitates project meetings, and prepares meeting minutes
Assist in the coordination of third-party agencies
Assists with coordinating construction activities with contractors and other agencies
Assists in maintaining various logs (RFI, Submittal, Change Orders, etc.) and construction project records/documentation
Other job-related duties or projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation with a BS degree from an accredited college with a major in architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years for Project Engineer and 8 years for Senior Project Engineer, with professional experience in a similar or equivalent position
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions
Experience working on building, marine, or port projects
