Office Engineer Document Control Work Location: Los Angeles, CA
PMCS Group, Inc. is seeking an Office Engineer specializing in Document Control for Building, Marine, and Port projects. The role involves maintaining project documentation, managing electronic and hard copy records, and supporting project teams with document distribution and organization.

Responsibilities
Process, distribute, retrieve, maintain, and archive all project-related records received
Assist in managing electronic and hard copy project and program records/files
The control, scanning, indexing, linking, hardcopy filing, and distribution of documents
Manage the flow of records to project participants, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications
Prepare transmittals, distribute documents, and retrieve documents through the client's software
Must be sensitive to time deadlines, ensure that work is accomplished in the time frames required, and must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities readily
Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters related to project records and the control and distribution of documents
Support for project teams in organizing workflows and approvals
Participation in project meetings, as necessary.Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
Qualification
Required
5-10 years' experience with document processing and data management. Document processing experience with Building, Marine, and/or Port Projects
Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale ($25M+), construction project or program required
Effective oral and written communication skills
Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus, and willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds; must be detail-oriented and highly organized; and must be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer-service attitude
Must possess a 'can-do' attitude: able to produce consistently accurate results at a fast pace
Experience with construction management database software, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience working on building, marine, or port projects
