The role involves providing patient service under supervision, preparing patients for imaging procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe department environment.

Responsibilities

Provide service to patient under the direct supervision

Prepare and position patient and select exposure factors accurately

Implement radiation protection and safety standards

Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures

Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations

Position patient and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure room, storage area, dressing room, film storage area and any other areas in department

Qualification

BLS Provider CertificationHigh school diplomaAccredited program enrollment

Required

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required
