Responsibilities

Work closely with, support, and assist Building Acoustics colleagues

Assist in the review of drawings, specifications, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design through to construction

Perform acoustical calculations using acoustical software, industry algorithms, and available software tools

Learn to apply fundamental acoustical principles to solve real-world problems

Assisting in resolution of technical issues on construction sites

Support and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary internal and external teams

Contribute to the promotion of our health and safety culture

Required

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Good solid foundation and understanding of acoustics and the acoustical engineering discipline

Working knowledge of basic engineering calculations

Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team

Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines

Ability to solve problems using sound engineering judgment, creativity, and innovation

Strong work ethic and motivation to learn

Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite

Experience with drafting and computer aided drafting (CAD) software

Proficiency with coding in Visual Basic, C, Python, or MATLAB

Commitment to a culture of safety

Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's or graduate degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or mathematics from an accredited university
