Get to the heart of every story by talking to members of your community

Uncover perspectives that might otherwise go unreported

Pitching, writing, shooting, interviewing, and editing stories

Take ownership of each step of the storytelling process

Create compelling, timely, and accurate coverage to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms

Required

Television news reporting - 3+ years

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable television work experience

Ability to shoot videos, understanding of video editing software, and utilize social media effectively

Ability to communicate effectively on camera and through writing and verbal expression

Write and speak English and Spanish fluently

An innate curiosity and a sense of urgency when it comes to creating compelling stories, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds

Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community

Ability to work under time pressure deadlines and willing and able to work different shifts or longer shifts due to 'breaking news' and severe weather emergencies, ability work weekends and holidays

Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the state of residence

Preferred

Experience working in a 24-hour news channel
