Applied AI Engineer

Responsibilities

Build and deploy AI applications that leverage large language models (LLMs) and agentic reasoning frameworks to perform complex, multi-step tasks
Design and implement context-aware orchestration, tool-use, and memory mechanisms that allow AI systems to operate autonomously within defined boundaries
Collaborate with business stakeholders to prototype AI copilots and digital assistants that augment human workflows in engineering, sustainment, and operations
Develop reusable SDKs, documentation, and internal demos to accelerate adoption of AI capabilities
Partner with platform and MLOps teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and governed

Required

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Python & TypeScript for AI apps; LLM frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel)
Agentic AI concepts; vector search (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search)
Cloud AI services & APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI, Bedrock)

Preferred

Hands-on experience building and deploying agents for business use cases (e.g., workflow orchestration, data transformation or analysis, multi-agent system)
Understanding of prompt engineering, contextual retrieval, and self-reflective agent design
Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and secure API development
Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
