Empower Pharmacy is a leading provider of life-changing medications, and they are seeking a Manager of Facilities and Maintenance to oversee the performance and regulatory compliance of their FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility. This role involves leading a multi-shift team, ensuring optimal infrastructure performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support pharmaceutical production.

Responsibilities

Oversees the daily operations of Facilities and Maintenance Technicians across three shifts to ensure full facility coverage, asset integrity, and compliance with FDA and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements

Leads the development, execution, and continuous refinement of preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, cleanroom environments, water systems, electrical infrastructure, and building automation systems

Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Environmental Monitoring—to proactively resolve issues, minimize downtime, and support all phases of pharmaceutical production

Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, performance data, and analytics to drive operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and ensure timely maintenance and repairs

Develops and mentors a high-performing technical team by providing clear guidance, strong communication across shifts, and a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning

Required

Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities and maintenance operations within FDA regulated or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, facilities management, or a related technical discipline

Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to build trust across shifts, lead through influence, and maintain focus on reliability and regulatory excellence

Technical expertise in sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical environments, cleanroom maintenance, cGMP compliance, and infrastructure systems

Demonstrated experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows

Preferred

Preferred certifications include Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM); Certified Facility Manager (CFM); Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) or Black Belt (LSSBB); Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30-hour General Industry certification (OSHA 30); Project Management Professional (PMP)
