Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale AWS cloud migration and modernization projects
Define project goals, scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders and leadership
Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans
Act as the primary liaison with internal teams, vendors, and government stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee the full migration lifecycle—discovery, planning, execution, cutover, and post-migration support
Drive cloud optimization strategies including performance monitoring, cost control, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to architect scalable and secure cloud solutions
Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and status reporting
Create documentation, toolkits, and playbooks for operational handoffs and long-term support
Provide mentoring and guidance on cloud best practices to both internal teams and government clients
Qualification
Required
7+ years of IT project management experience, with 3+ years leading AWS cloud migration projects
Proven track record of success in federal government contracting (GovCon) environments
Strong knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC)
Solid understanding of cloud migration methodologies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent work experience
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Project Manager)
Experience with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies
Familiarity with federal compliance and security standards in cloud environments (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST)
Experience managing distributed, cross-functional teams
