The Warehouse & Inventory Manager – 3PL Operations is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and inventory activities specific to the company’s third-party logistics (3PL) business segment, focusing on inbound receiving, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day 3PL warehouse operations, separate from non-3PL inventory and production functions
Oversee 3PL inventory accuracy, storage locations, and cycle counts
Receive 3PL inbound shipments (small parcel, LTL, and FTL), verifying quantities and condition
Prepare and ship 3PL outbound orders using small-parcel carriers and freight (LTL/FTL)
Coordinate 3PL dock schedules, carriers, and pickup times
Maintain clean, organized 3PL warehouse zones and staging areas
Investigate and resolve 3PL-specific inventory discrepancies and shipping issues
Train and supervise warehouse staff assigned to 3PL operations
Partner with office and operations teams to prioritize 3PL orders and resolve customer or fulfillment issues
Ensure safety procedures and warehouse standards are followed within 3PL areas
Qualification
Required
Experience managing warehouse operations, preferably within a 3PL or fulfillment environment
Strong understanding of inventory control and order fulfillment processes
Familiarity with small-parcel shipping and freight shipments (LTL/FTL)
Comfortable using warehouse systems, shipping software, and spreadsheets
Ability to lead a team, set expectations, and hold staff accountable
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Ability to lift, move, and handle inventory as needed
Forklift experience preferred or willingness to obtain certification
Preferred
Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or shipping platforms
Background in high-volume fulfillment or distribution operations
Knowledge of basic freight documentation, including BOLs and pallet counts
