Responsibilities

Responsible for the pre award and amendment management of the IIRC clinical trial portfolio including building and negotiating clinical trial budgets, and working with the IIRC Clinical Research Office staff

Work with IIRC faculty, Clinical Research Support, and Office of the General Counsel to develop, negotiate, and manage highly complex clinical trial budgets, working directly with faculty and staff to anticipate new study support needs and budget accordingly

Responsible for budget amendments to reflect revisions to study protocols. Process includes submitting budget through the consortium system, revising and negotiating the original budget

Reviews study calendars against protocol schedule of assessments for accuracy and works with central clinical trial support to ensure accuracy

Partners with the IIRC post award fiscal staff to determine appropriate costs for budget amendments

Provide ongoing cost analysis for studies to ensure clinical trials are adequately funded; provide budget information to Alliance Management for negotiation of budget revisions with sponsors

When needed, assists post award with patient bills, travel reimbursements and sponsor invoices
