Sr. Mgr, Global Public Relations & Communications

Travel
Responsibilities
Develops, manages, and executes PR strategies to create impactful global content coverage and media engagement for Celebrity Cruises within set budgets
Establishes goals and priorities for multiple areas including oversight on brand communications, media relations, crisis communications support, and brand reputation
Manages Lead, Global Public Relations and Communications to deliver annual PR and Communication plans and achieve established KPIs while upholding the Celebrity Way culture and values
Responsible for external relationships including but not limited to PR agency and reporting vendor
Collaborates with go-to-market and broader marketing team, hotel operations, new build, trade and corporate communications teams on strategy and integrated campaigns
Owns strategy and maintenance of press center to evolve content and assets
Plans and executes strategic and innovative approaches to generating coverage in the media, draft press releases, talking points and statements
Supports Lead in handling incoming media inquiries in timely manner
Supports Lead in planning and executing individual press trip requests and liaises with appropriate personnel on requests
Owns data and analytics to optimize PR and Communications efforts towards key performance metrics
Supports the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc campaign reports
Partners with the international markets on the development and execution of their localized strategies, anchored in the global PR strategy
Builds and maintains key professional relationships with significant media outlets
Stays abreast of latest industry developments, trends, and shifts in the travel industry
Manages and tracks billing and program results
Partners with leadership on budget/expense control and reporting, department and/or brand related
Nurtures and develops talent towards high-performance
Occasional travel required
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent, directly related experience required
+7 years of PR agency, public relations, journalism, or corporate communications experience
Proven experience in a PR strategic leadership role, managing numerous internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to interact with senior leaders and build effective relationships within the company, public, guests and media
Strong planning capabilities to identify and prioritize communication strategies, handle multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining detail oriented to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment
Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise high degree of tact and diplomacy at all levels of the company, as well as with external contacts
Experience managing PR agencies and external communication vendors
Highly organized, self-motivated and capable of working with minimal direction
Ability to evaluate and provide constructive feedback in a timely manner
Fiscal aptitude managing public relations budgets and reporting
Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel as appropriate (domestic & international)
Strong writing skills and message creation experience
Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and email
Outstanding English language proficiency, proficiency in Spanish a plus
Preferred
Experience in travel industry and working for a global company ideal, but not essential
Experience with crisis management and communications preferred
Understanding of social media, influencers, emerging media trends and content trends
