The role involves consulting with clients, preparing proposals, and producing technical drawings while gaining hands-on experience in the architecture and construction industry.

Responsibilities
Opportunities throughout the U Facilities team to contribute to our GIS, Project Services and Construction Mgmt teams and gain hands on experience in the A/E/C industry
Work within the software platforms within U Facilities to support project teams and members with project assistance in the office and on job sites
Perform architectural BIM and CADD support and services within given parameters alongside respective project team on small to large scale projects including Capital Improvements and Capital Development projects
Assists with the preparation of presentations and performing basic analytical tasks for team/client review as needed. May require drafting, modeling, GIS, space use investigations, etc. Helps compile data and conducts research for the project team
Collaborates with team members and may work on multiple projects from inception to completion to gain exposure to all aspects of the design and construction process
Qualification
Required
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of directly related work experience or a master's (or equivalency) degree
Assumes work equivalency (1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience)
Does not require architectural licensure/registration
Requires basic skill set and proficiency
Conduct work assignments as directed
Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment
Preferred
Currently earning a professional degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Mgmt
Working knowledge of BIM drafting including Revit preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Sketchup, AutoCad, Creative Suite and other Adobe and drafting/presentation tools
