Collin County Government is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Building Maintenance Technician I. This role involves conducting inspections and making necessary repairs to various structures and mechanical equipment under the direction of the Facilities Technical Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the renovation and remodeling of buildings
Monitoring energy controls
Performs related duties as assigned
Building Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to any Collin County building or rental property including, but not limited to, detention facilities, medical examiner’s office, animal shelter, courthouse, administrative building, and parks
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Building maintenance experienceTechnical knowledgeEnergy controls monitoringHigh school education

Required

Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes
Candidates must have achieved a level of education equivalent to four years of high school
At least one (1) year of experience in building maintenance is required
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Candidates must be able to pass a post offer, pre-employment physical (POPP), a Functional Physical Capacity Assessment (FPCA), a drug screen, and a background check, when required
Must be able to pass physical fitness test to be eligible for hire
