Responsibilities
Define and drive the strategic direction for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with the organization’s broader IT and business objectives
Understand and anticipate the direction of the business and industry trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations to support DAVIS’ future needs
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists
Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand the business strategy and establish an applications roadmap that is responsive to the business’ vision & goals
Performs personnel administrative functions (e.g. recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training + professional development, supervising, evaluating, corrective counseling, providing professional development, etc.)
Oversee the entire application lifecycle, from selection and procurement to customization, implementation, maintenance, and retirement
Document business process and develop project charters. Responsible for execution of the application roadmap including projects and day-to-day operations
Drive application-related change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions when implementing new solutions
Communicate project status to various levels of management
Plan and manage enterprise applications projects, overseeing functional and technical aspects of the implementation effort using effective project management techniques
Establish and refines goals, performance, and accountability measures to ensure DAVIS team is meeting timelines, working efficiently, and providing high levels of service delivery
Lead and oversee the implementation of solutions from inception to completion
Oversees relationships with key IT delivery partners and contracts
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise solutions management with responsibility for strategy development and leading a group
Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex, enterprise-wide projects
Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development
Operational construction industry experience (3+ years) with an understanding of construction processes including estimating, business development, project management, and financial management
Ability to work in person (Rockville, MD) for the first 3-6 months and hybrid (2 days a week from home) thereafter, with reasonable flexibility
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred
Preference for specific experience deploying construction industry applications like CMiC and Procore
