Responsibilities

Overseeing executive protection vendors supporting executive transportation, residence risk mitigation, and related services
Ensuring operational performance and staffing continuity for executive protection operations
Supporting the establishment and administration of OpenAI’s California-licensed PPO, including recordkeeping and regulatory readiness
Serving as the Qualified Manager for the licensed PPO entity following required certification
Leading operational, safety, medical, and BSIS-mandated training for armed security personnel employed through our licensed PPO entity
Partnering with the Corporate Security Resilience team and cross-functional stakeholders to align training, compliance, and risk management

Executive protection managementCalifornia BSIS Qualified ManagerFirearms instructor experienceLaw enforcement experienceMilitary experienceSound judgment

Required

Senior leadership experience in law enforcement, military, or protective services
Experience managing armed security or executive protection operations
Eligibility to serve as a California BSIS Qualified Manager, with the ability to obtain certification
Firearms instructor experience and strong knowledge of CA BSIS requirements
Sound judgment in high-risk, high-visibility environments
