Responsibilities
Work closely with a team of structural engineers and drafters, providing leadership during analysis, design and construction administration project phases
Lead the team in preparation of structural calculations, drawings and specifications packages
Lead the team in construction administration duties, including responses to RFIs, review of submittals, and site visits
Interface with Architects and Contractors in meetings and through email/phone
Mentor development of young engineers
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in California structural design of new buildings and seismic evaluation of existing buildings
California PE and SE Licenses required
M.S. in Structural Engineering
Demonstrated ability to work creatively with architects to solve complex design problems
Demonstrated strength in providing excellent customer service
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred
DSA and/or OSHPD experience a plus
Experience with the CSI suite of structural analysis software
Experience in Performance Based Seismic Design and nonlinear analysis a plus
Working knowledge of BIM Modelling Software (Grasshopper, Rhino, Revit, Dynamo, Tekla)
Concrete, Timber, and Steel design experience is preferred
