Responsibilities

You will perform mechanical design using engineering principles and advanced math concepts
You will create 3D layouts with a complete understanding of the impact of part sizes and interactions, tolerances, static and dynamic system force/travel and displacement
You will troubleshoot returned devices as well as products that fail qualification tests
You will apply advanced engineering skills regarding mechanical design, analysis and problem solving
You will review test plans and documents test results using basic word processing and spreadsheet software

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering degree granting program from an accredited university
Sophomore status required; Junior or Senior status preferred
Basic knowledge of the following equipment: Machining, Welding, plastic molding, soldering, Digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, power supplies, and current probes
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and write test reports and correspondence
Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts such as algebra, calculus, FEA, probability and statistics, geometry and trigonometry
Possess good communication skills to present information to customers and/or employees

Preferred

Advanced knowledge of a 3D CAD system (NX) is a plus
