Responsibilities
Design of shallow and deep foundations
Design of earth retaining structures
Slope stabilizing measures
Liquefaction mitigation
Ground improvement
Coordination and generation of geotechnical-based drawings and specifications, and preparation of data, baseline, and interpretative reports
Qualification
Required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in field assignments that will include observation of explorations (soil and rock borings, test pits, CPT soundings, geophysical testing), and laboratory testing of soils and rock
Knowledge of the process to design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, embankment and cut slopes, and slope stabilization
Design and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring; and inspection of earth retaining structures, deep foundations inspection and testing (drilled shafts, driven piles), and shallow foundations, and trenchless pipe installation
Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
BS in Civil Engineering
Preferred
MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Experience with Plaxis is a plus
