Industrial Hygiene Intern
Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking ambitious interns to join their efforts in building the world’s largest lithium-ion battery factory. The Industrial Hygiene Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team, assisting in maintaining a safe workplace and contributing to the future of electric vehicles.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of EH&S policies and procedures
Support the creation and delivery of EH&S training programs for employees
Contribute to safety campaigns, events, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture
Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations
Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures
Participate in incident investigations, including data collection, analysis, and root cause identification
Compile and analyze EH&S data, prepare reports, and present findings to management
Stay up to date with EH&S regulations, permits, and records to maintain compliance
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S requirements into daily operations
Communicate technical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
Qualification
Required
Completion of at least 2 years of full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) at an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field
GPA of 3.2 or higher
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university
Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools
Basic knowledge of EH&S regulations, workplace hazards, and safety standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the internship begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, O-1, TN, L-1, or other employment-based visas) to participate in the program or for a fulltime role after graduation. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization
