Responsibilities

Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to establish and contribute to the product roadmap for the FordPay platform
Initiate or translate the product roadmap into manageable product features in the backlog through release and iteration planning sessions
Lead the product demos to broader groups and stakeholders on a recurring basis at the end of each iteration
Work on establishing and presenting the Release Plan based on the roadmap and planned features
Lead all agile ceremonies and product discussions, providing thought leadership on development structure, technology, and tools
Coordinate and facilitate the team’s flow load, working within and across teams to align work and capacity
Facilitate conversations to achieve user story completion, while ensuring customer acceptance criteria is actionable
Employ and champion Agile software processes, culture, best practices, and techniques
Work hands-on with the product team to prioritize, plan, and deliver the product
Work with cross-product teams to identify and orchestrate dependency resolution
Actively manage features and dependencies in and across product releases
Closely work with product managers/leads of the upstream and downstream systems to align on any new feature/enhancement/system improvements and prioritization
Facilitate teams' review of proposed product or service technical design against relevant policies, standards, and principles, staying aware of industry standards and their impact
Understand business, technical, and security priorities and technical feasibility to build the product backlog and manage risks
Focus on delivering product value through careful and deliberate prioritization
Ensure the backlog is populated with enough prioritized user stories that are ready to be estimated for the next two iterations
Work with business, stakeholders, and software engineers to define key metrics and enhance existing dashboards for effective monitoring and proactive identification of any production issues
Communicate openly and frequently with the team by being responsive to address any issues/dependencies
Help Business Partners understand our iterative development approach and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product through careful and deliberate prioritization

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
5+ years with progressive responsibilities in IT and Agile Processes
Strong demonstrated competencies in leading all agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-Ups, Iteration Planning, Release Planning, Backlog Grooming, Team Retros, etc.)
Strong communication, collaborative, and influencing skills
Proven ability to work closely with software engineers, product managers, product owners, and other stakeholders
Strong personal presence to be able to represent technical concerns in Product Line prioritization
Demonstrated ability to drive development with a customer-centric approach while engaging in the technical design
Experience defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps, and creating and managing backlogs
Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision-making in a rapidly changing environment

Preferred

Master's degree in a relevant field
Must be able to think and act strategically, without constraints, but be able to operationalize
Experience with Lean methodology, eXtreme Programming, and Domain Driven Design
Demonstrated understanding and ability to drive full stack development
Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners by effectively utilizing online tools such as Slack, WebEx Teams, and other communication channels
Experience in the financial technology (FinTech) or payments industry
