Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Instrument and Controls Engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success and professional development
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Provide technical expertise in the selection, configuration, and integration of control systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS
Ensure the quality and reliability of instrumentation and control systems through rigorous testing, validation, and commissioning processes
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integration of control systems
Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering solutions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency
Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations
Coordinate and occasionally participate in control system checkout and commissioning at fabrication shops and new project construction sites
Ability to travel as needed to support projects
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering
Experience in managing large-scale engineering projects, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Experienced with schematic wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, DCS, and other control system technologies
Strong understanding of process control principles and instrumentation
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
