Project Architect/Designer

As a Project Architect/Designer, you will lead architectural projects from conceptual development through completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
Architecture & Planning
Responsibilities
Lead project design and documentation efforts, ensuring compliance with client objectives, budget, and timeliness
Overseeing and reviewing the development of the construction documents of the project including the responsibility for technical detailing and specifications, using Revit
Project Management of an in-house team and direct supervision of the development of the project, to ensure overall quality and accuracy. Includes development and monitoring of a project work plan
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal resource teams to ensure cohesive project progress and alignment with design intent
Primary point of contact and responsible for communication with the client regarding the project in collaboration with the Construction Administration (CA) Project Manager and Associate
Responsible for compliance with all building codes, DSA (and other agency) procedures, related forms, applications, and processes
Training and mentorship of team members to assist in their growth of professional development
These responsibilities are typical but are not all-encompassing. Each person is expected to work collaboratively as a team and to assist in any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule, and within the project budget and the budgeted hours provided
Qualification
Required
Accredited degree in Architecture or, related field, with equivalent education/experience
At least 8-10 years of relevant architectural experience, experience in K-12 public school design a plus
Architectural license (preferred)
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural detailing
Strong written, graphic, and verbal communication skills and experience communicating with clients and consultants
Knowledge of sustainable design, construction materials, engineering disciplines, and construction techniques
Experience working collaboratively as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
