Responsibilities
Oversee Quality Assurance And Project Management Of New, Ongoing, And Planned Studies Focused On Women’s Health And/or Sleep
Contribute To Study Start-up Tasks, Supervise Research Assistants, Review Participant Data (electronic Health Record, Survey, Interview, Focus Group, Home Sleep Apnea Testing) For Quality Assurance Purposes, Accurately Submit All Data And Institutional Review Board (IRB) And IRBNet Requests, And Draft Grant Related Reports In a Timely Manner
Preparing and verifying grant applications, which are submitted with regularity throughout fiscal year and to several different organizations
Serving as a liaison between the study team and several organizations to ensure efficient research progression
Overseeing all IRB/IRBNet deadlines and efficiently and accurately submitting IRB/IRBNet modifications and annual reviews
Training and supervising research assistants to ensure proper and timely project related tasks including recruitment, interviewing, chart review, and data entry/management for multiple types of data (electronic health record, survey, interview/focus group, home sleep apnea testing)
Preparing monthly financial reports (and other reports as necessary), monitoring and approving spending, and identifying and discussing trends in spending with the MPIs
Reviewing existing financial operating systems and working with the MPIs to revise and implement strengthened systems and procedures, including keeping current on trends, compliance issues, regulations and guidelines internal to NCIRE, SFVA, and UCSF
Writing annual evaluations, providing general support and guidance, giving ongoing feedback, troubleshooting, and resolving problems in tandem with the research assistants
Managing the ongoing grant process, including by tracking and processing gifts and other income, maintaining financial documentation, providing analysis on progress with grant spending, policy interpretation on grant parameters, and developing grant reports for MPIs
Developing human resources policies and processes in accordance with existing NCIRE policy, including hiring of regular and temporary staff, consultants, on-boarding and off-boarding, leaves, and time approvals
Preparing, monitoring, and managing budgets and fiscal year closings
Documenting and communicating administrative and financial policies and procedures to relevant staff, including by providing training on these policies
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or higher
Extensive experience in a research lab, including experience submitting IRB reports and responding to IRB requests
Familiarity with supporting grant applications
Supervisory experience, including providing feedback and managing human resources-related tasks
Experience conducting research tasks with human subjects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Experience conducting research related to women's health and/or sleep
Experience working with women Veterans
